It may be the fact that it's Monday, or that this novel is not very interesting, but I'm halfway through and I don't find any redeeming qualities about the women I'm reading about. Not because they are horrible characters but because Mackenzie Bezos hasn't given me enough information about them to care. There seems to be more atmospeheric description than any in respect to character development. I don't like being negative especially when it comes to debut authors, but I'm really finding it hard not to at least be honest. Bezos can definitely paint a lovely picture and bring to life the surroundings but we're only given fragments of each woman. These fragments are not enough.
