I am 35% in the book The Caretaker by A.X. Ahmad. I wish I knew more about this author because he really has a great read on his/her hands. I have searched high and low to find out who this person is that's written a book I have found almost impossible to put down. The main character Ranjit is full fleshed out, intelligent, and sympathetic. I like this guy. I can't wait to find out what the case of this antique doll holds and why it may cost him his life. I see this character going places beyond this story. Hopefully the build up won't lead to a complete implausible climax or ending. I would really hate that.
